Executives from the Regional African Satellite Communication Organisation (RASCOM), headed by Director General Timothy Ashong, recently made a courtesy visit to Jean Martial Adou, the Director General of Radio and Television of Côte d’Ivoire. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen their collaboration in satellite broadcasting services.
During the meeting, which included RASCOM representative Lydie Garba, both parties discussed their longstanding partnership and explored new ways to enhance cooperation.
A key point of discussion was the utilisation of the RASCOM satellite by Côte d’Ivoire’s national broadcaster since 2012, which has supported various broadcasting initiatives. Both organisations expressed appreciation for the effectiveness of their collaboration and considered strategies for further development.
Officials mentioned that this partnership could serve as a noteworthy example for other member states looking to improve their broadcasting infrastructure through satellite technology.
RASCOM reiterated its commitment to supporting the Ivorian Radio and Television Agency, aligning with broader initiatives to enhance connectivity and advance digital broadcasting across Africa.
