Tubi Launches Creators’ Initiative To Showcase Emerging Talent

Tubi, the ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corp., announced on October 29 the launch of its inaugural creator content slate under the “Tubi for Creators” initiative.

In a strengthened partnership with Hartbeat, Kevin Hart’s multi-platform entertainment company, Tubi is set to unveil four original films in 2026, featuring notable talents such as Kinigra Deon, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller from the “85 South Show.”

This collaboration aims to elevate emerging storytellers within the entertainment landscape while giving them creative control and the opportunity to engage with Tubi’s 100 million monthly active users.

The first film in this lineup is Sundown, a supernatural thriller that Deon wrote, directed, and stars in. The narrative centres around a group of college friends who inadvertently venture into a racially hostile town, where local legends take a terrifying turn.

Another project, 85 South: Dead End, features Fly, Bean, and Miller in a satirical horror-comedy that follows a Southern road trip spiralling out of control in a bizarre town with an eerie reputation where no one ever seems to escape. The announcement of two additional films is anticipated in the future.

Rich Bloom, Tubi’s General Manager of Creator Programs and EVP of Business Development, stated, “We’re creating an environment where both new and established creators can bring their innovative ideas to life and connect with new audiences on our platform.”

Currently, Tubi boasts nearly 10,000 titles in its creator content category, reflecting its broader mission to promote diverse voices and improve Hollywood access for emerging talent.

“This initial slate of exclusive titles marks a significant milestone for us, and our collaboration with Hartbeat allows us to partner with exceptional talent whose work resonates with our diverse audience,” Bloom added. “We are committed to establishing pathways for creators to break into Hollywood while staying authentic to their unique voices.”
