Wedotv, the free sports and entertainment streaming network, has expanded its reach into the MENA region with a new distribution agreement with evision, the media division of e& (formerly known as Etisalat). This partnership will make two of wedotv’s FAST channels—wedotv BIG Stories and wedotv sports MENA—available to TV subscribers by e& and on the advertiser-supported OTT platform, Starz ON. The announcement was made jointly by Magnus Simons, wedotv’s Business Development Director for MENA and the Nordics, and Sunil Joy, Head of Content at evision and Starz ON.

Magnus Simons stated, “In the last two years, wedotv has made remarkable progress in distributing its channels worldwide, moving from its roots in DACH and the UK to Italy, the Nordics, Benelux, Asia, and the US. We are excited to include the MENA region in our international portfolio. Our channels are fully localised for this audience, and we look forward to collaborating with Sunil and his team to ensure their success.”

Wedotv BIG Stories offers diverse outdoor adventure and factual programming, featuring series like Desperate Hours, Miracles of Nature, Survival Science, Alaska’s Ultimate Bush Pilots, and My Animal Family, all presented with Arabic subtitles. Meanwhile, Wedotv Sports MENA delivers live coverage of popular sports leagues and tournaments, including the Scottish Football League, Italian Lega Basket, Turkish Basketball Super League, PSA Squash Tour, and BWF Badminton. The channel also offers expert analysis and behind-the-scenes content through shows like The Football Review, The Inside Line, Sport Confidential, and Total Combat.

Sunil Joy remarked, “At evision, our mission is to provide content that resonates with our viewers. With the addition of wedotv BIG Stories and wedotv sports MENA, our audience will enjoy a well-curated mix of adventure series, factual entertainment, and live sports—all fully localised with Arabic subtitles. Wedotv’s proven expertise in free streaming channels makes them the perfect partner for enhancing quality content across the region.”

Next month, the partnership will be bolstered by the launch of a third wedotv channel, wedotv Movies, which is available on TV by e& and Starz ON. This new channel will be a localised version of the movie channel already available in Europe, the UK, Asia, and the US, offering MENA audiences an additional source of entertainment.
