The Broadcast Media Awards—Southern Africa 2025, an initiative by Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) and the Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA), aims to celebrate the industry. The awards serve as a powerful incentive for media professionals to strive for the highest standards of journalism and production. Recognising categories like Best Local Content and the SABA Evergreen Award, they celebrate authentic storytelling reflecting the region’s unique culture and values. The industry is constantly evolving, with new technologies and platforms emerging daily. Categories such as Best Studio Design and Best OTT/Streaming highlight the forward-thinking organisations and individuals embracing innovation. The awards ceremony, held in the stunning setting of Victoria Falls, provides a unique opportunity for professionals from diverse countries to network, share ideas, and build collaborations that will drive the industry forward.

The final call for nominations is September 23, 2025. This is an opportunity for everyone in the industry—from seasoned veterans to ambitious newcomers—to participate in a historic event. By submitting your nominations, you are not only putting your best work forward but also helping to build a stronger, more recognised, and more respected media community across Southern Africa.
