The Red Sea Film Foundation will showcase its commitment to the cinematic arts at the Venice Film Festival, taking place from August 27 to September 6. This year, the foundation will feature a selection of films and various specialised activities to promote emerging filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, and throughout Africa and Asia.

Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, expressed his pride in the foundation’s involvement, highlighting the inclusion of five supported films in various festival sections. This participation enhances the foundation’s role as a significant contributor to the development of creative cinema on an international stage.

Baltyuor also pointed out the selection of two additional projects for prominent industry initiatives, which emphasise the foundation’s growing global influence.

In addition to official film screenings, the foundation will engage in specialised programs, featuring Sofia Alaoui’s “Tarfaya” in the “Supplementary Funding Market,” and Hugo Salvaterra’s “My Semba” in the “Final Cut” program.

Celebrating its fourth consecutive year of partnership with the festival, the Red Sea Film Foundation will also bestow a cash prize to support a project currently in post-production.
