Prime Video officially appointed Nicole Clemens as Vice President and Head of International Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, effective July 7. Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video International, made the announcement.
Clemens brings significant experience from her role as president of Paramount Television Studios, where she played a key role in the development and production of numerous successful series, including “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Reacher,” and “Cross,” many of which are available on Prime Video. Additionally, she previously served as President of Original Scripted Series for Paramount+, shaping the platform’s launch programming strategy.
In her new position, Clemens will lead the development and production of original films and television series across over 20 global territories, serving Prime Video’s expansive audience of more than 200 million Prime members worldwide. Her role will also oversee teams in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific.
Clemens’ appointment aligns with Prime Video’s strategy to enhance its global content offerings, having released over 140 international original series and films in the past year alone—its highest output to date. She will initially work from Amazon MGM Studios’ headquarters in Culver City and eventually relocate to the Prime Video office in London.
Clemens will take charge of the international original leadership team, which includes key figures such as Javiera Balmaceda (responsible for Latin America, Canada, and Australia), Tara Erer (Northern Europe), Nicole Morganti (Southern Europe), and John Holmes (production and post-production). Nikhil Madhok oversees international originals in India and will report to Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President of Prime Video for APAC and MENA while remaining part of Clemens’ leadership team. With her extensive background in scripted content development, Clemens is set to significantly influence Prime Video’s international creative direction.
