Filmmakers from around the globe are now invited to submit their films for the 46th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), which will take place from 12 to 21 November 2025. The festival has opened its official submission portal, with entries accepted until 1 August 2026. Early submissions benefit from a reduced fee until 31 May 2025.

Festival President Hussein Fahmy also enthusiastically received the submissions for this year’s edition, commenting: “We’re eagerly awaiting submissions for our 46th edition. Year after year, CIFF is a gathering place where artistic voices from all over the world converge through the global language of cinema. We’re looking forward to presenting colourful films that carry new, fresh ideas and cultural richness.”

Artistic Director Mohamed Tarek explained that preparations for the upcoming year’s festival have already begun. The programming team is busy compiling an exciting lineup that captures the evolving face of global cinema. “CIFF continues to be a launchpad for new talent and discoveries,” he explained, “and this year will be no exception.”
