The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), under the leadership of actor Hussein Fahmy, has officially announced the dates for its 46th edition. The festival will take place from November 12 to 21, 2025, at the iconic Cairo Opera House.

In a statement, Hussein Fahmy said: “With the announcement of our upcoming edition, we recognise the immense effort required to face its challenges and achieve the success we aspire to while learning from past experiences. We are confident that this edition will leave a distinctive mark on the history of the Cairo International Film Festival. I am particularly excited as we began preparations the day after the previous edition concluded.”

Recognised as one of the oldest film festivals in the Arab world and Africa, CIFF is the only festival in the region classified as a Category A event by France’s International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
