Strategic Partnership: Media Forum & IBC

Saudi Media Forum has been announced as the primary media partner for the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), supported by the European Broadcasting Union. This partnership is a precursor to Riyadh’s Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) for 2025.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Saudi Broadcasting Authority will have a dedicated pavilion at the prestigious IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam. This pavilion will be a focal point for promoting the forum and its associated exhibition across IBC’s extensive European media network.

The collaboration aims to increase awareness and engagement with these events throughout Europe, ensuring broad visibility and maximising global audience reach.

Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority and President of Saudi Media Forum, said this partnership marks a significant step in fostering cultural and knowledge exchange between the authority and leading global media platforms. He highlighted the forum’s role as a dynamic hub for exchanging expertise, forming impactful partnerships and attracting thousands of media professionals and enthusiasts annually.

Al-Harthi added: “Our responsibility continues to grow, prompting us to intensify our efforts and deliver superior initiatives through strategic partnerships with leading international exhibitions and markets. This collaboration builds on past achievements, such as hosting the MIPCOM Market outside France for the first time. We are proud to include IBC among our esteemed partners.”

Mike Crimp, CEO of IBC, added: “IBC has always championed industry innovation worldwide, and our media partnership with FOMEX aligns with our shared goals of advancing transformative technologies in every region and sector of media and entertainment. As the (media and entertainment) industry continues to evolve globally, we are proud to partner with FOMEX, a media gathering that nurtures this growth and encourages creativity and cooperation.”

The Saudi Media Forum and Future of Media Exhibition 2025 will showcase the Kingdom’s growing influence in the media sector and its capacity to organise large-scale international events. The previous edition attracted more than 30,000 visitors and nearly 300 exhibitors.
