Nigerian TV host Chude Jideonwo has announced an upcoming documentary focusing on the former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The documentary, titled “Is it Your Money? The Story of Diezani Alison-Madueke,” is set to premiere later this year. Jideonwo describes it as the “biggest-budget docu-series from our dear country.”

The documentary, which has been meticulously researched and in the works for over two years with a team of over 100 members, was shot across three countries and covers eight cities. The team has traced confirmed and alleged loot across 15 jurisdictions and had the rare privilege of exclusive access to investigators from the FBI, the MET Police, and the EFCC, adding a global perspective to the narrative.

Alison-Madueke, who held various significant positions in Nigeria, including being the first female Minister of Petroleum Resources and the first female president of OPEC, faces allegations of corruption during her time in office.

The documentary delves into these allegations and the legal actions taken against her, including charges brought by the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency.

The documentary is a testament to the power of collaboration, co-produced by Judith Audu, Eromo Egbejule, and Chude Jideonwo, and executive produced by Jideonwo, Mfon Ekpo, ‘Yemi Adamolekun, Mojolaoluwa Aderemi-Makinde, and Capital Film Productions. This collective effort underscores the dedication and commitment to bringing this important story to light.
