The Saudi Film Commission has announced that the fourth edition of the Filmmakers Programme will be launched later this month to support the growth of Saudi talent in the film industry.

According to industry reports, the project, which has previously achieved tremendous success with more than 62 training courses and 2,430 participants, wants to further enhance the talents of both aspiring novices and seasoned professionals.

For the upcoming edition, the commission has set an ambitious goal of training 4,000 individuals, expanding its reach with 150 training workshops across 13 regions of the Kingdom. The programme will be pivotal in nurturing the next generation of filmmakers.

The commission will introduce the inaugural Kader Programme, designed to offer intensive professional field training opportunities for up to 50 filmmakers. This initiative spans 21 days and will allow participants to hone their cinematic skills across various specialisations within the industry. The Kader Programme, organised in collaboration with international production houses, will seamlessly integrate trainees into ongoing cinematic projects.

The Saudi Film Commission is devoted to delivering meaningful professional training opportunities while creating strong connections between filmmakers and industry specialists through these comprehensive courses and initiatives. As Saudi Arabia’s film industry grows, these initiatives demonstrate the country’s commitment to cultivating a dynamic and competent filmmaking community.
