Egypt’s Nile TV International Relaunches With Expanded Programming And Digital Transformation Strategy

Nile TV International has unveiled a major relaunch, introducing a revamped editorial strategy, expanded programming lineup and a digital transformation roadmap designed to reinforce its position as Egypt’s international English- and French-language broadcaster.

Chairwoman Dina Osman said the relaunch marks the first stage of a wider institutional overhaul focused on strengthening editorial operations, developing talent and enhancing the channel’s ability to present Egypt’s perspectives to audiences around the world. While retaining the Nile TV International brand, the broadcaster has adopted a refreshed visual identity inspired by the colours of the Egyptian flag.

As part of the relaunch, Nile TV International has increased its original daily programming from approximately six hours to more than 15 hours. The expanded schedule includes additional news bulletins, current affairs programmes and new shows covering politics, business, culture, tourism, Arab affairs and African affairs. The channel has also introduced a new business programme, Market Insights, alongside English- and French-language religious programmes that promote the principles of moderate Islam.

The transformation extends beyond programming, with the broadcaster implementing a restructured newsroom, updated editorial workflows and a newly established Digital Media and Archiving Department. The next phase of the strategy will include the launch of a redesigned website, live streaming services and an expanded presence across digital and social media platforms.

In a related development, the Egyptian presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reviewed progress on the digitisation of the country’s state radio and television archives. The review covered the development of the Maspero Platform and ongoing upgrades to broadcasting infrastructure, part of a broader effort to preserve Egypt’s audiovisual heritage while expanding public access to its media content.
