BMA Webinar: AI And Media Monetisation – Exploring Sustainable Revenue Models And Strategies That Work

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence is transforming not only how content is produced and distributed but also how media organisations generate revenue. As traditional business models face mounting pressure from changing audience behaviours, platform fragmentation, and intensifying competition for consumer attention, broadcasters and content creators are being challenged to rethink their monetisation and long-term commercial sustainability.

These critical issues will be explored during the upcoming webinar, “Production & Distribution In The Age Of AI – How To Succeed!”, taking place on Thursday, 16 July 2026. A key discussion will focus on “Monetisation & Commercial Sustainability: New Revenue Opportunities Enabled by AI and Digital Platforms.”

The media industry is at a pivotal moment. While advertising has long been the primary revenue source for broadcasters and publishers, the rise of subscription-based services has created new opportunities to build direct relationships with audiences. At the same time, artificial intelligence is creating entirely new possibilities for revenue growth by enabling greater audience understanding, more effective content recommendations, enhanced advertising performance, and improved commercial decision-making.

As organisations seek to balance audience reach with profitability, the debate between advertising-supported and subscription-driven models has become increasingly important. Media leaders are exploring how to maximise the value of both approaches while adapting to audiences that expect personalised, on-demand content experiences across multiple platforms.

AI is emerging as a powerful enabler in this transition. From helping media companies better understand audience preferences to optimising advertising campaigns and identifying new commercial opportunities, AI-driven technologies are becoming central to sustainable business growth. Digital platforms are further expanding the revenue landscape by creating new channels for content distribution, audience engagement, and monetisation.

The session will examine how broadcasters and content creators can navigate these evolving dynamics and develop resilient business models that can thrive in a rapidly changing marketplace. Discussions will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with advertising and subscription strategies, the growing role of AI in commercial operations, and the innovative revenue streams emerging from digital transformation.

As the media sector continues its shift toward data-driven and platform-based ecosystems, organisations that successfully combine compelling content with intelligent monetisation strategies will be best positioned for long-term success. This webinar will provide valuable insights into how AI and digital technologies are redefining commercial sustainability and shaping the future of the media business.

Production & Distribution In The Age Of AI – How To Succeed! will bring together industry leaders, broadcasters, digital media professionals, technology innovators, and content creators to explore the strategies, technologies, and business models that will drive the next phase of growth in the media industry.
