MTN Group has officially launched MTN One TV, a new streaming platform aimed at expanding access to digital entertainment for a wider audience across Africa.

Designed with flexibility in mind, MTN One TV’s content offerings vary by market, catering to diverse viewing preferences. The service will feature options such as free-to-view content, ad-supported streaming, pay-as-you-watch access, and subscription models.

Aligned with MTN’s Ambition 2030 strategy, MTN One TV seeks to bring together local storytelling, live channels, international programming, and tailored viewing experiences for different regions.

MTN has indicated that, depending on regional availability, customers will have the option to pay via airtime, Mobile Money, and other local payment methods, aiming to eliminate barriers to streaming access.

In addition to benefiting viewers, MTN One TV is poised to create new opportunities for content creators, broadcasters, advertisers, and ecosystem partners across Africa.

By consolidating a wide array of content options on a single platform, MTN is striving to enhance content discovery, expand audience reach, and foster sustainable growth.

Selorm Adadevoh, MTN Group’s chief commercial officer, highlighted the pivotal role of entertainment as a gateway to digital engagement in Africa. “With MTN One TV, we are harnessing our extensive connectivity, fintech, and digital capabilities to make relevant content more accessible while fostering new opportunities,” he stated.

The streaming service is being rolled out progressively across various markets, as MTN aims to integrate a range of video capabilities, content partnerships, and customer experiences under the MTN One TV brand.

“MTN One TV represents an expansion of our role beyond mere connectivity by blending entertainment, payment solutions, and digital services,” the company concluded.
