AREWA24, the leading Hausa language family entertainment and lifestyle television channel and production studio in Nigeria and West Africa, returns post-Ramadan with its hit drama series “Zabi Biyu” for a much-anticipated second season.

Following the success of its debut season, Zabi Biyu captivated audiences across Northern Nigeria and beyond with its compelling storytelling, rich cultural themes, and appealing characters. The series quickly became a fan favourite, praised for its authentic portrayal of love, choices, and the complexities of modern relationships within a traditional society.

Season 2 promises to build on this success with even more drama, deeper character development, and unexpected twists. Viewers can look forward to a continuation of the story as the characters navigate the consequences of their past decisions while facing new challenges that test their values, relationships, and ambitions.

Speaking on the new season, Celestine Umeibe, Chief Executive Officer at AREWA24, said, “Zabi Biyu represents the kind of culturally resonant drama series we are committed to delivering to our audiences, especially the youth / young adults. The response to Season 1 was phenomenal, and we are thrilled to bring viewers an even more engaging and captivating Season 2. For our advertisers, they can connect with loyal viewers in a meaningful way, following a highly engaged TV audience across Hausa-speaking communities.”

Produced by AREWA24’s in-house production team, the series continues the network’s mission to create high-quality original Hausa content that reflects the realities and aspirations of its audience.

“At the heart of Zabi Biyu is a story that reflects the lived experiences of our audience, evolving in a way that is more intense and emotionally layered, while staying true to the cultural nuances, language, and everyday realities that resonate across Hausa-speaking communities.” said, Salisu Balarabe, Director of Zabi Biyu Season 2 of Zabi Biyu premiered on Sunday 22nd March 2026 and will air weekly on Sundays 8 pm – 9 pm (20:00H WAT) with additional viewing options available on the AREWA24 streaming platform (AREWA24 on DEMAND).

ABOUT AREWA24 (https://arewa24.com/company-overview/): AREWA24 and its production arm, AREWA24 Productions, were launched in 2014 to fill a glaring void in authentic, locally produced, high-quality Hausa-language entertainment and lifestyle programming that reflects pride in Northern Nigerian life, culture, music, film, art, cooking, and sports.
