OSN+ has unveiled the exclusive release of All That’s Left of You, a poignant film written and directed by Cherien Dabis, on March 19, perfectly timed for Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
Drawing on the director’s family experiences, the film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it received significant acclaim from critics.
Following its successful debut at Sundance, All That’s Left of You has garnered considerable interest from global distributors. Agreements have been secured in countries such as Italy, Spain, Benelux, Switzerland, Turkey, Latin America, and Indonesia, with more negotiations currently underway.
The film has been celebrated for its intricate narrative and emotional richness, with The Guardian calling it “beautifully textured and deeply moving.” It intertwines personal and political themes within a multigenerational tale of endurance and struggle.
All That’s Left of You tells the story of a Palestinian teenager caught up in a protest in the West Bank. As he confronts Israeli soldiers, his mother reflects on their family’s history, tracing back to his grandfather’s displacement from Jaffa in 1948. Through her narration, the film spans three generations, depicting how trauma and resilience are transmitted through time.
Produced by Thanassis Karathanos, Cherien Dabis, Martin Hampel, and Karim Amer, with Janine Teerling and Marios Piperides as co-producers, the project is a collaboration among Pallas Film, Twenty Twenty Vision Filmproduktion, Displaced Pictures, and Nooraluna Productions. It also sees co-production from AMP Filmworks and ZDF/ARTE.
All That’s Left of You has received support from a diverse range of international backers, including Eurimages – Council of Europe, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture. In addition, it has received assistance from OSN+, Media City Qatar, Medan Productions, Baird Films, the National Creative Industries Group, Ten X Group, Film Clinic, the Doha Film Institute, and the Red Sea Fund, which acted as the executive producer.
