The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded exclusive multi-platform broadcast rights for the XXV Olympic Winter Games to beIN MEDIA GROUP, a leading global sports, entertainment, and media organisation, across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Finalised in Milan, this agreement strengthens a decade-long partnership between the IOC and beIN, grounded in trust and shared values, and commits both parties to advancing the Olympic Movement’s influence in the MENA region.

IOC President Kirsty Coventry expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to extend our partnership with beIN MEDIA GROUP in the MENA region and appreciate the support from the beIN team. Their extensive reach and expertise in sports broadcasting position them as industry leaders, crucial in bringing the Olympic Games to millions of fans.”

Yousef Al-Obaidly, Group CEO of beIN MEDIA GROUP, commented, “The Olympic Games represent the pinnacle of global sport and culture. We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the IOC, bringing the Games to millions in MENA. For over a decade, beIN has committed to delivering Olympic stories that inspire audiences. Securing rights for Milano Cortina 2026 and LA28 underscores our commitment to expanding the Games’ influence.”

As part of the agreement, beIN SPORTS, the group’s flagship sports network, and its OTT platform, TOD, will provide comprehensive coverage, including live events, highlights, and original programming, designed to engage audiences and elevate broadcasting standards.

beIN’s multi-language Olympic coverage kicked off with the live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, which is ongoing until February 22. The event features nearly 3,200 athletes from over 90 National Olympic Committees competing in 16 disciplines, with thorough coverage available through nine beIN SPORTS XTRA channels and TOD’s streaming service.

Since signing its first direct agreement with the IOC in 2015, beIN has delivered extensive Olympic coverage, including PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022, and Paris 2024. This latest agreement further establishes beIN’s position as the leading sports broadcaster in MENA and reinforces its commitment as a long-term partner of the Olympic Movement.
