Eutelsat has reaffirmed its commitment to the MENA region by renewing its long-term partnership with BHS Telecommunications, a prominent TV distribution and broadcast services player. Through this renewed agreement, BHS will lease Ku-band capacity on the EUTELSAT 7 West A satellite, situated at the strategic 7/8° West orbital position, ideal for broadcasting across the Middle East and North Africa.

BHS has established itself as a reliable partner of Eutelsat, excelling in providing comprehensive broadcast and telecommunications solutions. Their expertise includes satellite and fibre distribution, IP connectivity, streaming, playout, and video monitoring. With decades of operational experience in the region, BHS is a trusted collaborator for global and regional broadcasters, ensuring robust content distribution.

The 7/8° West video neighbourhood can reach over 66 million TV homes across the MENA region, delivering exceptional coverage, high signal quality, and access to a wide array of regional and international programming. This renewed contract allows BHS to continue supporting broadcasters in delivering diverse content to millions of viewers through satellite technology.

This agreement further solidifies Eutelsat and BHS’s partnership, underscoring both companies’ commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance satellite services in one of the world’s most dynamic broadcast markets.

“The renewal of our partnership with BHS underscores the enduring strength of our collaboration and emphasises the strategic significance of the 7/8° West orbital position. This agreement enhances our position in the MENA region and demonstrates our capacity to offer flexible, high-quality satellite solutions tailored to the evolving needs of our clients,” said Raymond Estphan Rahme, RVP MENA Sales, Video Business Unit, Eutelsat.

“In Eutelsat, we find a partner with whom we have developed a solid relationship. As we continue to work together, we will set our sights on future milestones. Our primary focus is providing our broadcast customers with the best value proposition while minimising concerns about service interruptions—a critical factor in today’s rapidly changing media landscape,” stated Hamid Rahmani, CEO & Managing Director, BHS.
