Middle East and North Africa football supporters have nothing to fear—the Premier League will remain on their screens for a few more seasons, thanks to a new extended broadcast deal between beIN Media Group and the Premier League.
Under the new agreement, beIN Sports has retained the rights to show all 380 games annually, with extensive English and Arabic language coverage. Viewers will receive additional programming, including daily highlights, magazine programs, and weekly round-ups.
Content will be delivered on beIN’s internet streaming platform, TOD, so that fans can follow the action uninterrupted on the web, tablet, and mobile devices.
The agreement was signed at beIN’s MENA headquarters in Qatar, where beIN MENA CEO Mohammad Al-Subaie and Premier League Chief Media Officer Paul Molnar dotted the line.
“This expansion is a testament to a partnership of trust,” Al-Subaie stated. “Our partnership with the Premier League since 2013 has consistently delivered quality football to our audience, cementing beIN’s position as the region’s number one sports broadcaster.”
Molnar went on: “We are delighted to extend this valued partnership. The MENA region is home to some of the world’s most loyal Premier League followers, and this agreement promises they will enjoy best-in-class, localised coverage for the years to come.”
Since 1992, the Premier League has emerged as an international brand with an aggregate annual TV following of over 3 billion. With this longer-term deal, the league will still be at the centre for MENA viewers many years from now.
