Cricket South Africa (CSA) has extended its UK and Ireland broadcast rights agreement with Sky, securing exclusive live coverage of its men’s and women’s international home fixtures on Sky Sports and NOW through April 2027.
The deal covers a busy season featuring visits from Australia, Bangladesh, England, India Women and Australia Women. Australia’s men opened the schedule on 24 September with the first of three ODIs in Durban, while England will tour South Africa for three Tests and three ODIs between December and January — their first Test tour of the country in seven years.
The agreement was negotiated by IMG on behalf of CSA and represents a one-season extension. The renewal provides CSA with continued access to a major international rights market while positioning its upcoming home schedule as an important commercial property.
For Africa’s wider sports media market, the deal highlights the potential value of well-packaged domestic sports rights beyond the continent. CSA remains one of Africa’s prominent sports properties with established international broadcast value, offering a useful reference point for other federations seeking to develop and monetise overseas rights markets.
