As broadcasters across West Africa accelerate efforts to modernise infrastructure, streamline operations and adapt to rapidly changing media consumption, LAWO will bring its broadcast technology expertise to the Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026, taking place on 22–23 September 2026 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
As a key industry partner of the convention, LAWO will contribute to discussions around the technologies and workflows enabling the next generation of broadcast operations. Brahim Jelassi, Sales Manager Africa at LAWO, will deliver a presentation during the two-day event, sharing insights into the evolving technology landscape and how broadcasters can build more flexible and efficient production and distribution environments.
The participation comes at a time when broadcasters are under increasing pressure to do more with existing resources while responding to the growth of digital platforms, multiplatform distribution and increasingly sophisticated audience expectations. Technologies built around IP, software-defined workflows, automation and cloud-enabled operations are becoming increasingly important to this transformation.
“West Africa’s broadcast industry is entering an important period of transformation, and technology will be central to how broadcasters respond to the changing media environment,” said Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa. “LAWO’s participation adds significant value to the convention because it brings practical global technology expertise into a conversation that is directly relevant to African broadcasters. We look forward to the insights Brahim Jelassi will share with delegates in Accra.”
Jelassi’s presentation will form part of a broader programme examining the future of broadcasting in West Africa, including the changing broadcast technology ecosystem, operational efficiency, digital transformation and the strategies required to build sustainable media businesses.
The Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026 will bring together senior broadcasting and media executives, regulators, technology providers, content producers and other industry stakeholders from across the region for two days of presentations, strategic discussions and networking.
LAWO‘s involvement reinforces the convention’s objective of connecting African media organisations with leading global technology innovators while creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration and business development.
