Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is pleased to announce the upcoming Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026, scheduled to take place in Central Accra, Ghana, from 22 – 23 September 2026.

The two-day convention will bring together senior broadcast executives, media owners, regulators, content creators, technology innovators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from across West Africa to examine the evolving future of broadcasting and media.

As the media landscape continues to experience rapid transformation driven by digital technologies, changing audience behaviours, artificial intelligence, and emerging content consumption patterns, the convention will provide a timely platform for industry leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue, share experiences, and explore innovative strategies that will shape the next phase of broadcasting development in West Africa.

The Broadcasters Convention – West Africa has established itself as one of the region’s leading forums for knowledge exchange, networking, and industry collaboration. The 2026 edition is expected to attract participants from public and private broadcasters, telecommunications operators, streaming platforms, government institutions, academic organisations, technology providers, and media development agencies.

Over the course of the convention, delegates will explore a wide range of critical industry issues, including digital transformation strategies, content innovation, audience engagement, broadcast sustainability, artificial intelligence applications, cloud-based media operations, regulatory developments, monetisation opportunities, and the future role of broadcasters in an increasingly competitive and fragmented media environment.

According to Broadcast Media Africa, the convention comes at a pivotal moment for the industry, as broadcasters across the continent seek new approaches to remain relevant, sustainable, and competitive amid evolving consumer expectations and technological disruption.

The event will feature keynote presentations, executive panel discussions, industry case studies, technology showcases, and interactive networking sessions designed to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.

Beyond the conference programme, the gathering will provide valuable opportunities for broadcasters and media stakeholders to establish new partnerships, explore emerging business opportunities, and gain practical insights into the technologies and strategies shaping the future of media across the region.

Broadcast Media Africa invites all stakeholders in the broadcasting and media industry across West Africa and beyond to participate in this important industry gathering and contribute to the conversations that will help define the future direction of broadcasting in the region.
