BMA Announces Webinar On ‘Monetising Broadcasts Across Linear, OTT, And FAST Platforms’ Scheduled For January 20, 2026

BMA announced today a critical online forum, “From Spots to Streams: How Broadcasters Can Monetise Across Linear, OTT and FAST Platforms,“ designed to equip media executives with a practical playbook for navigating the rapidly changing media consumption landscape. The complimentary webinar will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The media ecosystem is undergoing a seismic shift. Viewers are no longer confined to linear schedules; instead, they fragment their attention across Over-the-Top (OTT) services and a rapidly growing number of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels. For broadcasters, the traditional 30-second spot is no longer sufficient to sustain growth, presenting a critical challenge to revenue models.

As part of BMA’s industry programme focused on future-proofing broadcast revenue, this online forum will dissect the new, converged media ecosystem. The session promises to move beyond the theoretical, offering a practical playbook for broadcasters to build a unified, profitable monetisation strategy that effectively bridges the gap between their foundational linear business and their digital future.

Commenting on this webinar, Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa, said, “The industry is at an inflexion point. Simply adapting linear strategies for digital won’t cut it. Our upcoming webinar will provide tangible, actionable strategies. We’re showing broadcasters how to create a seamless commercial experience for advertisers and viewers alike, ensuring that every stream, channel, and platform is maximised for its full revenue potential.”

Some of the key areas the webinar will illuminate include:

  • Reimagining the Advertising Value Chain – from 30-second spots to data-driven dynamic ad insertion
  • Unified Ad Sales Strategies: How can broadcasters restructure their sales teams and technologies to sell total audience reach across Linear, OTT, and FAST platforms, rather than in silos?
  • Beyond the Pre-Roll: Unlocking new revenue with Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI), shoppable content, branded experiences, and interactive ad formats.

This is a must-attend session for all broadcast executives, sales leaders, and digital strategy teams seeking to transform audience fragmentation into a profitable multi-platform advantage.
