Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is proud to announce the 6th edition of the OTT Content Streaming Summit, which will take place from Tuesday, 24 February to Wednesday, 25 February 2026, in Cape Town, South Africa, under the theme “Content Streaming in Africa: Driving Access, Localisation and Value.”

Africa’s digital entertainment and media landscape is entering a defining growth phase, fuelled by smartphones’ increasing affordability, evolving digital payment systems, and the rise of innovative local content strategies. The 2026 Summit will bring together industry leaders, creators, and investors to examine how the continent’s streaming ecosystem can move from rapid expansion toward long-term sustainability, resilience, and profitability.

While infrastructure challenges remain, the African streaming market continues to evolve through collaboration between telecommunications providers, content producers, fintech innovators, and global streaming platforms. This transformation reflects a wider narrative that focuses on value creation, audience engagement, and the localisation of content that truly resonates with Africa’s diverse audiences.

The OTT Content Streaming Summit 2026 will provide a unique platform for broadcasters, content owners, producers, policymakers, and technology players to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends, and forge partnerships that strengthen Africa’s digital media ecosystem. Through expert-led discussions and case studies, the Summit will delve into the innovative technologies, business models, and creative strategies defining Africa’s streaming future, while spotlighting African-driven solutions that ensure streaming thrives across varied economic and social realities.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), said, “Africa’s streaming future depends on how effectively we align access, localisation, and value creation. The OTT Content Streaming Summit 2026 will highlight how collaboration among platforms, creators, and innovators can drive a sustainable and inclusive digital entertainment ecosystem across the continent.”
