Netflix South Africa has announced a new series called Blood Legacy, which is set to premiere on 20th September. The series, produced by Gambit Films, is a South African remake of the Mexican TV series Monarca.

Blood Legacy follows the story of a man’s murder in KwaZulu-Natal’s sugarcane fields, leading to a power struggle among his children for control of his company, reminiscent of M-Net’s Reyka and HBO’s Succession.

The 20-episode season will delve into themes of corruption, greed, and power as the siblings navigate the challenges of loyalty and influence within Spear Industries.

The cast of Blood Legacy includes Xolile Tshabalala, Buyile Mdladla, Treasure Nkosi, Sello Maake KaNcube, Pallance Dladla, and other talented actors. The series promises to deliver a compelling narrative that extends far beyond the boardroom.
