Namibia: Merger Of Two Largest Broadcast Media Companies On-Course

Namibia is set to witness a major development in the broadcasting industry as two of its largest broadcast owners are merging with TribeFire Studios’ broadcast properties. OneAfrica (TV) and 99FM will become subsidiaries of Namibia Future Media Holdings, which already holds half a dozen radio stations in the country.

Namibia Future Media CEO Gary Stroebel stated that this merger will combine their resources and expertise, enabling them to deliver more value to their clients and audiences. He further added that this merger will create a viable alternative to advertising on international platforms, keeping the advertising spend in the country and supporting the local economy.

Stefan Hugo, who followed the properties from TribeFire, has joined Future Media as executive director. He expressed his excitement about the opportunities that this merger presents for their teams and stakeholders, adding that together, they will leverage their collective strengths to innovate and create impactful content that resonates with their audiences across various platforms.
