The convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications services has emerged as a transformative force reshaping media and communication services globally. Against this backdrop, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators are set to convene in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on May 7th and 8th, 2024, for the much-anticipated Broadcast And Digital Media Convention – East Africa, to explore the profound implications and opportunities arising from this convergence.

With the theme: “Delivering Quality Content With Innovative Digital Media Services “, the International industry convention – convened by this platform Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) and Habershaview Technologies will be the meeting place for all broadcasters, content creators and publishers from Ethiopia, East Africa and indeed across the globe.

Regarding the planned event, Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), said, “The synergies between broadcasting and telecoms services are reshaping and driving how content is created, how it will be distributed, and, ultimately, how it will be consumed and by whom.”

“Professionals across content creation and delivery value-chain will have unprecedented opportunities to reach global audiences through multiple platforms and devices, fostering creativity, diversity, and inclusivity. Moreover, consumers enjoy greater flexibility and control over their media consumption habits, customising their viewing experiences according to their preferences and interests.”
