The Emirates News Agency (WAM) recently entered a media cooperation agreement with TV BRICS, the international network of media partners representing the BRICS countries. This partnership sets the stage for a daily exchange of news content, which will be disseminated across the platforms of both entities and shared with their global partners. The collaborative content will include text, images, and videos in multiple languages and will be prominently featured in their respective news bulletins and distributed through various media outlets.

WAM Director-General Mohamed Jalal Alrayssi and TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova virtually signed the agreement, which Alrayssi hailed as a pivotal step towards strengthening cultural and civilizational bonds between the UAE and the BRICS nations. He emphasized that the agreement aligns with the UAE’s commitment to promoting peace, development, and global prosperity, particularly following the country’s recent accession to the BRICS group.

Tolstikova expressed TV BRICS’ eagerness to deepen media collaboration with WAM, leveraging the UAE’s notable economic and humanitarian development endeavours on the international stage. Recognizing the UAE’s pivotal role in global decision-making, Tolstikova affirmed TV BRICS’ readiness to actively participate in the Global Media Congress. The congress aims to bolster international efforts, support global trends, and shape an innovative model for global media cooperation conducive to driving sustainable development for a brighter future.

The agreement between WAM and TV BRICS marks a significant stride towards enhancing global news exchange, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting cross-cultural dialogue on a broader scale. As both entities embark on this collaborative journey, the world can anticipate a more interconnected and informed media landscape, contributing to a more harmonious and prosperous global community.
