Industry Leaders And Senior Executives Set To Attend Broadcast Media Convention – East Africa Next Week In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Next week marks a significant event for broadcast media professionals across East Africa, with the much-anticipated Broadcasting And Media Convention set to take place on the 7th – 8th May at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

The industry convention promises to be a monumental gathering, featuring over 40+ distinguished speakers and attracting industry leaders and senior managers from various sectors within the broadcasting and media industry with a diverse array of discussion panels, keynotes and illuminating presentations that will address the most pressing issues facing the broadcast industry today.

The Broadcast Media Convention – East Africa is being convened by habeshaview Multimedia Technologies in conjunction with this platform – BMA. 

Commenting on next week’s event, Ms Tigist Kebede, the event co-convener and Director at habeshaview Multimedia Technologies, said: “The overriding aim of convening global media industry leaders in Addis Ababa is to spark discussions on how the landscape of television, radio, and digital media is being reshaped today for tomorrow needs. From the rise of streaming services to the integration of artificial intelligence in newsrooms, the convention will cover a broad spectrum of topics pertinent to current and future media trends”. “We are delighted to be the convener and host of this magnificent conference and look forward to welcoming everyone to Ethiopia.” she said.

Headline speakers and participants at the convention will include: Balcha Reba, Director General of Ethiopian Communications Authority; George Nyombi Thembo, Executive Director of Uganda Communications Commission; Wim Vanhelleputte, CEO of Safaricom; Maurice Herbert Mugisha, Deputy Managing Director of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation;  Paul Were, Senior Sales Director of Intelsat and many more.

Networking is a cornerstone of the convention, allowing attendees to forge new partnerships and strengthen existing connections within the industry. 

As the convention approaches, excitement builds within the East African media community. This event not only underscores the vibrancy and dynamism of the broadcast industry in the region but also sets the stage for future innovations that could redefine the way audiences consume media.
