Canal+ Distribution Enhances K-Content Presence In Europe With New RTBF Partnership

Canal+ Distribution is set to broaden its Korean content offerings in Europe through a strategic partnership with Belgian public broadcaster RTBF. This collaboration introduces an array of Korean dramas, documentaries, and BTS programming to RTBF’s streaming platform, Auvio, marking the inaugural launch of Korean series in French-speaking Belgium.

The agreement underscores Canal+ Distribution’s ongoing commitment to expand the availability of K-content across Europe, building on recent introductions in Poland and the Balkans. This move aligns with a noteworthy trend within the European content industry, where local broadcasters are increasingly investing in Korean programming to capture the growing audience interest.

Auvio will feature a diverse selection of popular Korean series as part of this deal. Notable titles include “The Penthouse”, “Doctor John”, “Mistress”, “Way Back Love”, “Lovely Runner”, and “True Beauty”. Additionally, the package incorporates BTS content, featuring the documentary “Bring the Soul”, which provides a behind-the-scenes look at the group’s world tour. This documentary is set to premiere on Auvio soon, while the concert film “BTS: Speak Yourself the Final” is scheduled to air on July 2 on Tipik, RTBF’s youth-oriented television channel.

With this agreement, Canal+ Distribution positions itself as a significant player in the European K-content distribution landscape, responding to the increasing demand from regional broadcasters and streaming services eager to enhance their premium scripted content with successful Asian productions.
