ZDF Studios has entered into a new partnership with global channel provider and distributor wedotv. This collaboration will see wedotv become the pay-TV partner for Pash, which was previously available only as a digital on-demand service for children and families.

Pash boasts an extensive library of over 500 hours of premium animation and live-action series, featuring popular programs from esteemed broadcasters and production partners. The brand adheres to strict editorial guidelines that align with ZDF’s and Germany’s public-service children’s network, KiKA’s, values. A skilled team meticulously curates the programming to ensure it upholds high-quality standards.

With this new arrangement, Pash will make its debut in the pay-TV landscape after initially being offered solely as a VoD service. Wedotv will introduce localised versions of Pash in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland, along with an English version available in the Middle East, Northern Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Notable highlights from Pash include the KiKA brand Dibidoo, The Muscleteers, the award-winning sci-fi series Space Nova, H2O – Mermaid Adventures, and timeless children’s classics such as Lassie, Peter Pan, and The Jungle Book.

Currently, Pash is already streaming across several platforms in over twelve European nations, as well as in North and South America. Distribution partners include Amazon Prime Video (in Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, France, and Poland), YouTube, and various local platforms and telecommunications companies. The brand also leverages targeted content strategies across social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook.

Jan-Frederik Maul, Director Junior at ZDF Studios, commented on the partnership: “By collaborating with wedotv, we gain a robust ally who shares our commitment to delivering responsible and high-quality children’s programming. Expanding Pash into new regions and the pay-TV market is a significant milestone, allowing more families worldwide to enjoy our content.”

Philipp Rotermund, founder and CEO of wedotv, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Pash perfectly complements our portfolio, offering high-quality, reliable, and internationally acclaimed children’s series that are carefully curated and adhere to stringent quality standards. We are thrilled to work alongside ZDF Studios in bringing this exceptional content to new markets and broadening our audience reach.”
