Broadcast Media Africa (BMA), in collaboration with the Southern African Broadcasters Association (SABA), is proud to announce that the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will serve as the Official Host Broadcaster for the 6th annual Content Streaming Summit – Africa.

The landmark industry gathering is confirmed to take place from Tuesday, 24th – Wednesday, 25 February 2026, at the iconic The Capital 15 On Orange in Cape Town, South Africa.

The SABC’s role as host comes at a pivotal moment for the public broadcaster, which has seen significant success with its digital-first platform, SABC+. By hosting this high-level gathering of industry executives, the SABC reinforces its commitment to universal access to content and to the evolution of public service media in the digital age.

Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa (and the chief convener of the summit), noted that the SABC’s decision to serve as the official host significantly elevates the summit’s mission, as the SABC’s success in navigating the digital shift makes it uniquely positioned to lead discussions on content accessibility, regulatory futures, and audience retention across Africa.

Over two days, delegates will explore a comprehensive agenda that prioritises hyper-local content investment and the scaling of authentic African narratives. Discussions will also delve into innovative monetisation strategies, including the rise of FAST channels and AVOD, as well as collaborative efforts to combat piracy and address high data costs through AI-powered compression. Furthermore, the event will address the need for regulatory harmonisation to create a policy environment that attracts global investment while protecting local interests.

Located at the foot of Table Mountain, The Capital 15 On Orange offers a sophisticated, state-of-the-art environment for high-level executive networking and policy roundtables.
