Ghana: Dominion TV Says It Will Transition To Dominion Studios

In Ghana, Dominion TV has unveiled plans to cease its television broadcasting on GBC Free-to-Air, DStv, and GOtv after October 31, 2025. This transition marks an exciting evolution as the network transforms into Dominion Studios—a dynamic global hub that produces original African content for digital and streaming services.

“We’re not shutting down; we’re evolving,” emphasised Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Founder of Dominion TV, alongside his wife, Rosa Whitaker, in a heartfelt message to their viewers.

“Guided by divine purpose and insight, Dominion TV is transitioning to Dominion Studios, focused on sharing Africa’s compelling stories, values, and creativity with the world,” Archbishop Duncan-Williams stated.

Rosa Whitaker noted, “Our achievements with A Taste of Sin on Netflix and Human Nature on Showmax highlight the international appetite for exceptional African storytelling. Dominion Studios aims to harness this momentum and deliver inspiring, high-quality content that celebrates African narratives and heritage.”

Dominion Studios is already developing original productions. It is also forming alliances with forward-thinking creators and distributors in Africa and beyond, enhancing Africa’s presence on global platforms.

As part of this significant transition, veteran Ghanaian filmmaker Paa Kwesi Ackom has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Studios, tasked with spearheading the next phase of creative innovation and global outreach.

In honour of its remarkable journey, Dominion TV will devote its final month on air to its dedicated African audience, showcasing exclusive programming that pays tribute to its legacy of delivering 24/7 inspirational content to 49 African nations. This concluding broadcast season will also feature its extensive archive of preaching, prayer, and teachings from its renowned founder, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams.

From now until October 31, 2025, viewers can continue to watch Dominion TV on DStv, GOtv and GBC platforms as the final countdown begins.

“To our viewers, partners, the MultiChoice Group, and our incredible Dominion team—thank you,” remarked Archbishop Duncan-Williams. “The Dominion journey continues on a path of blessings and greater purpose.”
