BeIN Secures Exclusive Rights To ‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’ For MENA Region

BeIN has secured exclusive rights to the highly anticipated prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, for the Middle East and North Africa as part of Sony Pictures Television’s significant international distribution initiative. The series is scheduled to debut on Starz in the US and Canada on August 8, with new episodes being released weekly via the Starz app and affiliated platforms.

This extensive rollout includes licensing Outlander: Blood of My Blood across key regions in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. Notable broadcasters and platforms that will air the series include MGM+ in the UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany, Sky Italia in Italy, Movistar Plus+ in Spain, HBO Max for France and Central and Eastern Europe (including Poland), along with other services such as Nova (Greece), Yes (Israel), Disney+ (Latin America), LG Uplus (South Korea), Stan (Australia), and Sky NZ (New Zealand), among several others.

Sony Pictures Television produced this new drama, which has already been renewed for a second season. Drawing from Diana Gabaldon’s cherished literary universe, the series aims to expand Outlander lore by exploring the love stories of a previous generation: Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, the parents of Jamie Fraser, and Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, the parents of Claire Fraser.

Set against the backdrop of the harrowing trenches of World War I and the romantic yet perilous Scottish Highlands of the 18th century, the show introduces a fresh cast led by Harriet Slater, Jamie Roy, Hermione Corfield, and Jeremy Irvine. The supporting cast features Tony Curran, Séamus McLean Ross, Sam Retford, Rory Alexander, and Conor MacNeill.

Showrunner Matthew B. Roberts, joined by executive producers Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Jim Kohlberg, is returning to guide the prequel.
