CNN To Launch New Streaming Service This Autumn

CNN officially announced the launch of its new streaming service, which will debut this autumn. Three years ago, the Warner Bros-Discovery merger abruptly ended CNN’s previous venture, CNN Plus.

The upcoming service will be integrated into CNN’s existing subscription model and initially launched in the United States. Subscribers can look forward to diverse offerings, including live channels, catch-up features, and video-on-demand content, all accessible through various platforms such as the CNN mobile app, connected TV apps, and CNN.com.

“We have always been at the forefront of video journalism, and this expansion of our subscription service into the streaming space reflects that spirit of innovation,” stated Alex MacCallum, Executive Vice President for Digital Products and Services. “We aim to provide our audiences with a seamless and convenient way to access CNN’s reliable reporting and original content, all within one user-friendly platform.”

The new streaming product will be part of CNN’s All Access subscription service tier, which was introduced in October 2024 and emphasises access to exclusive CNN.com articles behind a paywall.

CNN will still be available for those who subscribe to traditional pay TV, allowing these viewers to access the new streaming service at no extra cost.

Additionally, CNN will maintain its presence on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Discovery’s Max streaming platform.
