Gathering Of Broadcasters In Lagos, Nigeria, To Evaluate Studios And Facilities Management In The AI-Driven Digital Broadcast Ecosystem

A A

In today’s rapidly evolving media landscape, digital broadcast stations’ success relies on outstanding content and efficient operation of their digital studios and facilities.

As broadcasters across Africa transition to fully digital workflows, effective maintenance of these complex studio environments is the cornerstone of operational efficiency and long-term competitiveness.

With the advent of cloud-based production tools, IP-based workflows, and virtualised studios, effective studios and facilities management ensures that stations can deliver high-quality programmes 24/7, adapt to emerging content formats, respond to growing audience demands for on-demand and interactive experiences, and maintain compliance with evolving regulatory standards.

Furthermore, as artificial intelligence and automation become increasingly embedded in production and post-production workflows, studio managers must thoroughly understand legacy systems and next-generation technologies to optimise performance, ensuring interoperability across hardware and software from diverse vendors, managing cybersecurity risks in networked environments, training staff on new tools, and maintaining business continuity at all instances.

These issues will be evaluated and addressed during the upcoming Broadcasting and Digital Media Convention—West Africa 2025, held from August 6th to 7th, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Convened by this platform Broadcast Media Africa in collaboration with the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, the industry convention will bring together industry leaders, technology experts, station executives, and policymakers to explore how West African broadcasters can harness cutting-edge tools and best practices to transform their digital studios into engines of innovation and growth.
