Monaco’s state-owned broadcaster, TVMonaco, has partnered with global satellite operator SES to expand its reach across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. This collaboration aims to launch an HD channel that will broadcast Monaco-centric news, sports, and lifestyle content, showcasing the principality’s rich culture, economy, and tourist attractions to millions of viewers.

Nathalie Biancolli, CEO of TVMonaco, and Norbert Hölzle, Global Head of Media at SES, expressed excitement about the partnership and emphasized its mutual benefits. They emphasized the opportunity for SES to enhance its portfolio with unique, high-quality content while projecting Monaco’s allure as a cultural hub and vibrant economy on the international stage.

The partnership between TVMonaco and SES is strategic, not just a technical distribution agreement. By leveraging SES’s extensive satellite network, TVMonaco aims to captivate audiences with diverse programming, including live sports events and documentaries about Monaco’s environmental initiatives and lifestyle.

With SES’s support, TVMonaco is set to become a global ambassador for the Principality of Monaco, showcasing its luxury lifestyle, business-friendly environment, and stunning Mediterranean scenery. This initiative is expected to enhance Monaco’s international profile and attract tourism and investment by providing a window into the principality’s many attractions and innovations.

SES’s involvement in this project underscores its position as a leading provider of global content connectivity solutions. The company’s dual GEO-MEO satellite constellation offers unparalleled coverage and performance, making it an ideal partner for broadcasters looking to expand their international reach. This partnership with TVMonaco adds to SES’s impressive portfolio of over 6,400 channels broadcast worldwide, further cementing its role as a key player in the global media landscape.

As TVMonaco prepares to launch its HD channel across SES’s satellite network, anticipation grows for the unique content that will soon be available to millions of viewers. This partnership marks a significant milestone in Monaco’s efforts to share its story with the world and in SES’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences through high-quality video content. As viewers across Europe, Middle East, and North Africa tune in, Monaco’s vibrant culture and economy will shine brighter, promising new opportunities for engagement and exploration.
