Amination Series ‘Kunda & Friends’ Set To Premiere In Uganda

Crafted by Kunda Kids, a prominent children’s educational technology and media company, this imaginative 3D animated series results from their collaboration with Creatures Animation Studio. It will premiere on Sunday, April 7, at Century Cinema Arena Mall in Uganda.

The ‘Kunda & Pals series is entertaining and embodies traditional African narratives encapsulating African principles and life experiences. The series merges Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Reggae to create a lively soundtrack that advocates camaraderie, interconnection, and holistic well-being while imparting valuable educational content.

Ray Malinga, a renowned Disney director with an Annie Award who co-founded Creatures Animation Studio, leads the groundbreaking initiative. His expertise and ingenuity bring life to ‘Kunda & Pals’.

“We are proud to unveil ‘Kunda & Friends’ to Uganda and the world,” said Louisa Kiwana Olafuyi, co-founder of Kunda Kids. “This series is a testament to Africa’s boundless creativity, talent, and narratives. We are thrilled to present these captivating tales to Ugandan kids and children globally, nurturing a sense of pride and connection to our vibrant heritage.”

By showcasing relatable characters and narratives steeped in African traditions, ‘Kunda & Friends aims to entertain and enlighten children while celebrating Africa’s rich diversity and inspiring the next generation of global citizens.
