Nigerian filmmaker and CEO of Ebony Life Studios, Mo Abudu, has recently announced that production has commenced on a new series called “Baby Farm”. Abudu shared the news with her followers on Instagram, along with other details about the upcoming project.

Abudu revealed that the principal photography for the series will begin on Monday, January 22, 2024. The series, which has a unique and intriguing concept, is about how far people are willing to go to have the baby of their dreams. The story idea was conceived by Abudu, Heidi Uye, and Darrel Bristow-Bovey, with Bristow-Bovey also serving as the writer. The script for “Baby Farm” was completed towards the end of 2023.

While the number of episodes in the series has not been disclosed, the image released by Abudu shows that the first episode’s title is “Scraps of Paper” and hints that the series might be in pidgin. Ebony Life Studios is the production company in “Baby Farm”.

Abudu has been busy lately, as she was recently announced as the Oscars Academy Museum’s Grand Programmer, welcoming the Netflix series “Wrath And Revenge” on December 28, 2024, and has an expected release of “Oloture: The Journey” later in the year.

More details about the series are expected to be released as production progresses.
